The establishment of this journal is a response to the Fall 2010 Senior Capstone seminar during which the class of English majors simulated the process of researching, writing, editing, and submitting a scholarly article to an established journal of literary criticism. The scholarship demonstrated throughout the course led to the creation of Second Line which exhibits the rigorous academic work being created within the student community.
