Abstract
The molluscan fauna of the Gatun Formation of Panama is one of the most completely studied fossil assemblages in the Western Hemisphere (see Woodring, 1957-1982). A total of 396 shelled mollusks have been described from the unit (Woodring, 1982, p. 542) and yet, as a recent collecting trip to Panama revealed, the treasure trove is far from exhausted.
