Abstract

Julia Gardner's Molluscan Fauna of the Alum Bluff Group of Florida (U. S. Geol. Surv. Prof. Paper 142, 1926-1950) is the most important source of paleontological information pertaining to the Chipola Formation; however, since Gardner's time other studies of significant value have become available to students of this fauna. Because a portion of this information is contained in articles apparently unrelated to the Chipola Formation an obvious requirement for an up-dated bibliography exists.
